Your trip to Corfu can be quick and direct, because the island is easily accessible. You can fly there directly from many European airports and you can go there by train and boat. All options listed below are from February 2024, so if you look at this later it may have changed or sold out. These are suggestions, not guarantees, because we have no influence on them.
You should have seen the option to stay a few days longer. Your flight costs are often slightly lower, because you fly on less popular days. View the options on the airline websites or via skyscanner.
Before departure, we create a WhatsApp group, so that agreements can be made about traveling together from the airport to the destination, if people arrive at the same time and want to share a taxi or take the bus together.
From Schiphol – Amsterdam
On Saturday May 18 you can Transavia directly to Corfu, where it is 1 hour later.
- Departure Schiphol Airport – 05.45:XNUMX am (Dutch time)
- Arrival Kerkyra Airport – 09.35:XNUMX (Greek time)
You can also fly from Amsterdam to Corfu with Corendon of Tui. That sometimes seems a bit cheaper, so you can find out for yourself.
Back with Transavia on May 25 directly from Kerkyra Airport to Schiphol
- Departure Kerkyra Airport – 10.20:XNUMX AM (Greek time)
- Arrival Schiphol Airport – 12.20 (Dutch time)
Some airlines start with a low ticket price, but then it turns out during booking that you have to pay extra for luggage. At Transavia, the price includes a handbag or small backpack and a suitcase that weighs a maximum of 10 kilos.
There is often not enough space in the seating area and you can take your suitcase in the hold for free. In the photo on the right you can see my suitcase. This size can always be taken with you and 10 kilos is enough. You don't need a lot of clothes in Greece, because we have a washing machine in the villa. The coldest moment of the trip is usually on the plane. 😉
Or travel from Rotterdam/The Hague Airport
On Friday, May 17, you can Transavia directly to Corfu, where it is 1 hour later.
- Departure Rotterdam/The Hague Airport – 07.00:XNUMX am (Dutch time)
- Arrival Kerkyra Airport – 10.40:XNUMX (Greek time)
Back with Transavia on Tuesday, May 28, directly from Kerkyra Airport to Schiphol
- Departure Kerkyra Airport – 11.25:XNUMX AM (Greek time)
- Arrival Rotterdam/The Hague Airport – 13.15:XNUMX PM (Dutch time)
Last year Marieke (right in the photo) made her trip to Corfu by train from Rotterdam/The Hague, first to Paris for a few days and from there she flew to Corfu. She flew back to Bologna and from there took the train to The Hague. Along the way she got out here and there for a city trip. Lots of options, especially if you add a holiday to it. Anke (left in the photo) flew directly from Rotterdam and was in Corfu for 2 weeks.
But it can also be done directly directly. I personally like to travel from Rotterdam/The Hague, because it is a nice small airport, so check-in is usually quite quick and you are directly at the gate. You can also quickly leave the airport on your way home upon your return.
Flights from Rotterdam depart on Friday and Tuesday. You can then come a day 'early' and stay near the villa. Stay the weekend after the retreat and return to Rotterdam on Tuesday, May 28.
We know a good location with a pleasant host, near the villa, where we will be happy to reserve a room for you. Please contact us if you would like to make use of this.
Do you have practical or substantive questions? Don't procrastinate. Set them now!

Corfu is and has been an international trade center for many years and is a popular island due to its favorable location and beauty. Nevertheless, the villa where we will stay is an oasis of peace.
The advantage of Corfu's popularity is that it can be reached directly from almost anywhere. Your journey by plane will take you there in a few hours. You can even fly there from Athens.
It is also easily accessible by boat and there are many arrivals of vessels of various sizes every day. Cruise ships from various ports in Italy, as well as large and small ships from Albania, Greece and other islands nearby. A real opportunity for a nice trip if you don't like flying.
