Holiday or rather a retreat?

Holidays... you might not think so, but I don't really care for them.
I like to do something useful and I get bored easily. Everything you are, have and think
take it with you when you go on holiday.

I once read somewhere: 'Holiday is about moving your problems'. That sounded familiar to me after years of working in crisis shelter (domestic violence). Because the busiest times of the year were during the holidays and around Christmas. The days when we sit together 'nicely'. Sometimes that is not pleasant at all, even if we move towards the sun. Or you think: “I'm going away and traveling all alone.” But if you are not feeling well, this is magnified when you are alone. Or if you are in unknown territory or step out of your regular routine of daily work.

A holiday in itself is not a permanent solution if you are often tense. The relaxation it brings is usually temporary, when you cannot relax within yourself. Of course, the sun and the sea can do your skin and body good, but that will not give you a long-lasting effect. A few weeks or days or hours after returning home, the feeling is back to normal. If you suffer from tension, it is better to look for a solution. Don't focus on what's happening outside of you, but on what's causing tension within you. Many of us often change our circumstances, but rarely our inner experience. And so you perpetuate the problem.

Going on holiday is therefore not a solution if you are looking for real relaxation. When you come back two weeks later, everything you wanted to get away from is still the way it was.

This applies to your job, your neighbors, your partner, your house, your financial situation. You can forget it for a while, but that doesn't change it.

A successful retreat feels like the ultimate holiday

Usually I choose trips that are more than lazing in the sun. Or distraction from one outing after another. A long time ago I did my first retreat and I followed many trainings in combination with enjoying a foreign experience. I volunteered more than once in Hawaii. Unforgettable travel experiences.

The retreats, which I organize myself, are experienced as educational holidays. Because we offer time, space and a beautiful environment to enjoy what Greece has to offer.

In the mornings we offer in-depth training, in which you learn powerful techniques. This will help you let go of your limiting beliefs and help you revise and rewrite your self-image. That really offers relaxation, also in the long term.
